A love like Life and Death

A chilly wind breezes in the night air.

The stars and all their warmth couldn’t keep the world from being cold.

Standing there in all her glory… Life who is gracefully dressed in a hood and gown of galaxy.

The shooting stars and the moon reflecting and sparkling.

Her face unseen by anything human.

All the stars in the night sky that heard of secrets, woes, and the happy down on earth’s ground elegantly swallowed up into her gown.

Since longer than any existence and anything beyond.

Life is in love with Death, the strongest bond.

He stood far across from her in the distance.

They cannot speak, but they always listen.

Together their presence speaking in beautiful tones.

His black hooded cloak like a satin of souls cherished deep in his bones.

Life creates heartbeats and they leave to grow.

Death takes them away only when it’s time to go.

Heartbeats growing with time, received as gifts.

If death refused, the universe would shift.

For eternity he cherishes all the souls.

Death bundles them up, so they don’t go cold.

Life and Death are so in love.

A love that forbids touch or taste.

A love that will never go to waste.

It has been this way since the beginning of time.

A love between the galaxy and the souls.

A love between Death and Life.

I am attending college online with Grand Canyon University (GCU) for an English Teaching degree for Secondary Education. The first question I was asked when I made the decision to embark on this journey to be a teacher was, "Why do you want to be a teacher?" My response: "It is not for the money." Regardless, I am looking forward to being a teacher and am on this blog as part of a college course. I have written (never published) books and poetry of all kinds and have a love for writing in general. I have never done a blog before so we will see how this goes. Let's do this!
